Grade/Salary: C - £24,286-£25537 per annum pro rata, permanent
Hours: 30 Hours (5 days)
Based in The Seafront Office, Lower Grand Parade, BN21 3AD

You will assist in the planning, co-ordination and implementation of Eastbourne’s events and seafront activity. Your primary role will be to source trade and other concessions in line with budget targets. This will involve providing administrative and operational support to the events office that organises events such as the International Tennis Championships, Eastbourne International Airshow, Eastbourne Beach Life Festival, Eastbourne Beer Festival, Magnificent Motors, Beer and Cider by the Sea, 999 Emergency Services Display and the Beachy Head Marathon. You will also assist in licencing many other externally organised events and the planning and delivery of seafront activities, which include a box office, Bandstand, beach hut rentals and permitting of watercraft.

IT literate, (ideally in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams and Excel), you will be a good communicator and be able to work within a team.  Experience of working in a busy office and of event planning is essential, and experience in sales, marketing and knowledge of the current programme of events would be an advantage. Prior experience of using financial systems is desirable. Some unsocial working hours will be necessary to deliver the events and seafront programme and you will need access to a car for work.
